Nona's Stuffed Mushrooms

This is my grandmothers recipe and has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid. They are just delicious!

Ingredients:
  • 20 Button or Cremini mushrooms, scrubbed clean, stems separated from the caps
  • 1/2 Cup Italian Breadcrumbs
  • 1/3 Cup Olive Oil
  • 3 Cloves of Garlic Pressed (or minced if garlic press is unavailable)
  • 3 Tbsp. Minced Parsley
  • 1 Tsp. Garlic Salt
  • 1 Tsp. Black Pepper
Directions:
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Mince mushroom stems finely, and mix with breadcrumbs, oliveoil, garlic, parsley, garlic salt and black pepper
  • Stuff mushroom caps with mixture
  • Place in pan and bake for 30 minuets, till stuffed is nicely browned
Enjoy!

  1. Yummy! The only thing that keeps me away from creating these is having an access to an oven. Although there is an oven at home, I don't know how to use it, plus it's kind of a storage for the pans. Darn, it would be yummy to taste crispy bread crumbs over soft mushrooms. Thanks to your grandmother that those who are able to see this can now create a new side dish! ^^

  3. This sounds yummy. I usually stay away from stuffed items since there are usually onions added and I have a hard time deciding on what to stuff into them. But, this one reminds me a little of thanksgiving with the breadcrumbs.

  4. Another great recipe! Look really delicious, and very simple to make. I love eating stuffed mushrooms at parties but never had a recipe to make them myself. I'll definitely be serving this next time I have a get together. Keep those great recipes coming!
